TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION OF THE INSTALLATION
Compact Blasting Booth as the Foundation for a Complete Surface Treatment Process
Mechanical pretreatment is a critical step in achieving a high-quality surface. For SPEL, however, the absence of this process within their own production created a long-term operational limitation. Metal blasting had to be handled by external suppliers, which meant depending on their capacity, deadlines and processing quality. In 2025, SPEL decided to take this part of production into their own hands. With our help, they expanded their production capabilities with a compact blasting booth, allowing them to carry out complete surface treatment of materials directly at their facility in Kolín. As a result, SPEL moved from relying on external blasting capacity to gaining full control over surface preparation, process quality and production deadlines. This gave them greater production independence and allowed them to manage the entire process with more stability and predictability.
Blasting Booth Designed for Flexible Industrial Production
The size, mobility and modularity of the
blasting booth played a key role in the choice of solution. The booth can be quickly installed in the production facility without the need for construction work. When required, it can also be relocated to make the best possible use of the available space. For SPEL, this means that the technology fits naturally into their existing production layout without additional investment costs. Thanks to its high-quality construction and durable materials, the booth effectively reduces noise and can be placed among other production technologies without limiting daily operation. This solution is an ideal choice for customers who are starting with metal blasting or do not require a fully customized complex system, but still need the full parameters of an industrial blasting chamber.
Manual Blasting Booth with Vacuum Abrasive Recovery
The system includes a high-quality pressure blasting unit that ensures stable and optimized performance when working with different types of
blasting abrasives. Abrasive collection and recycling are integrated into the booth floor using an M-section. This system uses vacuum recovery to efficiently collect used
blasting media and return it for repeated use. For SPEL, this means significantly lower abrasive consumption and reduced operating costs compared to outsourced blasting. The combination of pressure blasting technology and controlled abrasive circulation delivers high efficiency, consistent results and long-term operational stability in an industrial environment.
Filtration, Fan Performance Control and PLC Control
The compact blasting booth is equipped with a powerful filtration system with fan performance control. This system effectively captures dust generated during metal blasting and helps improve the working environment while protecting surrounding technologies. The entire unit is controlled by a PLC system, providing clear and intuitive operation. This gives operators full control over performance and filtration status, ensuring safe, repeatable operation in everyday production.
With this solution, SPEL gained more than a new piece of technology. They gained production independence, allowing them to better manage the quality, deadlines and costs of
metal blasting — regardless of the availability of external suppliers.
